Midlands Today interviews regulars at The Beehive before their historic, permiership promotion match against Liecester on Sunday May 4th 2008. After 23 years in the lower divisions, the 2008/2009 season will see Stoke restored to the top flight - well done lads!

Midlands today interviews Nick Hancock at The Beehive and at the old site of the Stoke City Victoria ground in Stoke town. Nick is a keen Stoke City fan and will sometimes join us at The Beehive on match days. I expect he's looking forward to Premiership footie next season!

Regulars Rob and George were filmed for this item about pub closures in the Stoke area. They are doing their bit for us poor drinkers (who can't make it to all those pubs like Rob and George, who clearly have too much time on their hands) and taking pictures of them for posterity - yeah right guys! The Beehive made the news this week with a live broadcast on the BBC's Midlands Today. The report, by Liz Coppal, was a follow-up on piece broadcast in April on the Potteries dialect. Liz interviewed quizmaster Alan Hamilton before the start of the quiz.
